Healthy Road Trip List

The following is list is for single traveling. Adjust for family tripping.

Prepack

  • self-sharpening knife (Wiltshire StaySharp is great)
  • cutting board
  • fork
  • soup spoon (holds food better while driving)
  • cooler
  • flat-bottomed bowl with lid
  • small and large zip-lock bags
  • salt & pepper shakers
  • napkins
  • small dish soap
  • dish cloth
  • dish towel

Grocery List

Remember, US and Canada Customs will not allow food across the border, so you will have to shop after you cross. I have found that larger city supermarkets have a much better selection, compared with small town grocers.

  • superfood smoothies
  • water
  • soy or almond milk
  • healthy cereal
  • whole grain bread
  • natural peanut butter
  • honey
  • raw nuts and seeds
  • raisins
  • Clif bars (a quick filler and healthy)
  • cottage cheese
  • fruit
  • yogurt cups (make sure it has acidophilus and probiotics)
  • veggies for dipping and salads
  • premade salad (better grocery stores will have this)
  • bean salad
  • cheese
  • premade bruschetta
  • whole grain crackers
  • healthy salad dressing
  • low-fat mayo
